GOLD TEETH: A Roleplaying Game

GOLD TEETH is a tabletop roleplaying game for 3-6 people about piracy and occult horror in a cursed corner of the Caribbean. 

Players take on the role of Sea Dogs—swashbuckling scoundrels and weather-worn desperados, each in the grip of a ghastly pirate curse. Together they travel land and sea, seeking some measure of salvation in a place doomed by colonial terror and supernatural catastrophe.

That place is the Punchbowl of the Antilles, an isolated tropical archipelago to which the Sea Dogs have gained access as privateers, acting under special commission of the greedy British Crown. 

But this is subterfuge! The Sea Dogs also share a secret agenda: a wild and deadly plan that is their only hope of saving their souls. Set against them will be ruthless empires, unknowable terrors born of magical disaster, and all the perils of the sea. 

The game's rules are based on Forged in the Dark, but heavily adapted to support both the antics of the players' individual pirates and dramatic naval action that tells the story of the entire ship and its crew, as they battle against the weather, rival reavers and monstrous marine creatures.  

To fulfil their secret agenda, the Sea Dogs must work subterfuge and sabotage on land and perform audacious acts at sea, perhaps even building a fearsome buccaneering fleet in the process.

All this takes place in a fully-fleshed, fictionalised tropical setting, where occult horror intermingles with the very real historical traumas of the 18th century—each providing its own share of unforgivable monsters. Cannons flare and blades flash as nations collide at sea, or intrigue against one another in the close alleys of the colonies. Allegiances shift, or are forged in secret. Arms and powder are exchanged for sugar under cover of dark, while sabotage and assassination wreck carefully wrought plans. 

All the while, the sharks circle: profiteers, privateers and pirates.

Gold Teeth is 350 pages of rulebook and setting material, with over 30 maps and diagrams to help you describe the world—available as standalone high resolution images for home printing or use in your virtual tabletop software of choice.

Coming soon: editable online character sheets and a supplement for players, detailing useful historical knowledge and condensed rules. A hardback print edition of the book will be available later in 2026.
